Kicking it With Kale
A good time was had by all at our Kickin' It With Kale event in October! The kids (and teachers) all enjoyed learning about and trying kale. The smoothies were everyone's favorite!

Grounds Day 2018!
Grounds day with DUMC went great this year! We had so many wonderful volunteers come out to help. We are sending a big thank you to the following people:
Dunwoody United Methodist Church members for Day of Service
Girl Scout Daisy Troop 19064
Vanderlyn neighbor Mary Kay Morris for volunteering her time and street for lawn bag pickup
Ace Hardware for making a donation
Craig Radke, Candi Miller and Jennifer Dempsey Grounds committee co-chairs
The weather turned out perfect for yard work. We were able to plant pansies all around the school. We took care of dead branches and raised the canopy of many of our trees. We even removed limbs from our weather station dish. Check out our Facebook @vanderlynelementary page for more pictures of the day!
