Annual Fund Update!
Your support of our PTO and the school’s Annual Fund are how we are able to fund all of the wonderful programs our school offers (STEM projects, academic competitions, classroom stipends, teacher appreciation, the list goes on and on!). If you have not already done so, please consider donating to the 2021-22 Annual Fund by clicking HERE.
So far, we have over $36,000 in donations for this school year, but we are still short of our goal! Remember, 100% of your donation will be used to enhance the educational experience of EVERY student and faculty member at Vanderlyn Elementary. All donations, large and small, DO make a difference.
Help us reach our goal of 100% family participation. Be a Viking Champion and DONATE today!
Every family that donates to the Annual Fund receives a magnet! The 2021-22 magnets have been ordered, but due to Covid delays they have not come in. Magnets will be distributed via homerooms once they have arrived.
You can stay connected to our PTO by visiting our website, vanderlypto.org, follow us on Facebook or Instagram, and subscribing to Viking Views and the School Calendar. Log into your MTK account, click on My Account, Calendar/Newsletter Subscriptions.
THANK YOU for your donations and support and GO VIKINGS!

The Grounds Committee assists in the beautification of our campus by organizing a Grounds Clean Up Day in the fall and spring. Please email VanderlynelemPTO@gmail.com if you are interested in chairing this committee.
See Mrs. Crenshaw's most recent Principal's Post for important information on the virtual learning option.
Each student will receive a unique QR code sent home with them about two weeks after pictures are taken. You will be able to view and order your child’s photo online using this QR code. Virtual students will go home with their QR code on picture day. Parents, please keep up with your child’s code until pictures are available online. We will not have a copy of your student’s code. If you have any questions, please contact Emily Lane and Jennifer Benator at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Want to get more involved at Vanderlyn?
We need chairs for the following committees:

We received an update from our vendor regarding the status of this year’s agenda. Unfortunately, there has been a delay in shipping and the new delivery date is scheduled for late September. Once they arrive, agendas will be delivered to homerooms. Thank you for your patience!
Yearbooks are officially available for sale! Buy now through August 27th for the lowest price of the year, $32. Yearbooks must be purchased through Josten's site, jostensyearbooks.com. This week, the PTO celebrated Ms. Baptiste. Ms. Baptiste will assume the new role as a Human Resources Recruitment and Retention Coordinator in the Newton County School System. We are sad to see her go, but wish her all the best!
Vanderlyn PTO Registration
Vanderlyn families, the Membership Toolkit system is OPEN for 2021–2022 online PTO registration!
1. Go to Vanderlyn’s MEMBERSHIP TOOLKIT at www.vanderlynpto.org to create or update your online account**, and complete the following:
- Parent and student family information: All families need to enter their contact information. Once entered, it will be saved for the online directory.
