There is a parent meeting October 30th at 6pm in the Dunwoody High School Gym and our season starts November 13th.  Practices are from 6:00-7:30pm on Monday and Wednesday and the season goes through the beginning of February for beginners and the beginning of March for advanced grapplers.  For more information, go to http://www.navabrefflewrestling.com.

Take it to Make It Pedestrian Flag Project

Dunwoody Girl Scout Anna Wilkinson has installed ‘Take it to Make It’ pedestrian safety flags at three locations around the Dunwoody High/Vanderlyn area as part of her Gold Award project. These locations are: Vanderlyn Drive and Hensley Drive, Vanderlyn Drive and Vermack Road, and Vermack Road and Womack Road.

At every location there is a bucket on each side of the crossing holding two bright orange flags. When crossing, pedestrians take a flag to signal their intent to cross and hold it while crossing to improve visibility. Upon reaching the other side of the intersection, pedestrians return the flag to the bucket on that side.

This project aims to improve pedestrian safety and security, particularly that of young Vanderlyn students during the school year. For any questions about the project, Anna can be reached via email at annaw@wilkinsons.com or via text at 770-713-4498.
