Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week!
We had a wonderful Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week at Camp Vanderlyn this past week! Each day the teachers and staff got a special treat plus the Teacher's Lounge was filled with snacks and drinks for them to enjoy. We started the week with a Lumberjack Breakfast and yard sign. Tuesday the teachers got camping survival kits which included a t-shirt and other fun goodies. Wednesday we had a Camp Fire lunch and vintage camper photo booth and ended the week with s'more kits and blankets. We CAMP thank our teachers and staff enough! Also, thank you to all the volunteers to help make Camp Vanderlyn a success.
Thank you also to all of our Annual Fund donors for making this possible. If you didn’t have a chance to donate yet, you can still do so HERE!
Last but not least, thank you to some wonderful local, small businesses that helped make Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week so great! 101 Bagel's provided fresh delicious bagels. Sittin' Pretty Photobooth provided great entertainment with a selfie station and renovated camper. Renzo's Fire provided lunch with their famous cubans and chicken chili. Patricia's Spiritwear provided very soft and appreciated t-shirts. Thanks to their support for our wonderful neighborhood school!

Annual Fund Update!
Vanderlyn Families,
Your support of our PTO and the school’s Annual Fund are how we are able to fund all of the wonderful programs our school offers (STEM projects, academic competitions, classroom stipends, teacher appreciation, the list goes on and on!). If you have not already done so, please consider donating to the 2021-22 Annual Fund by clicking HERE.
So far, we have almost $40,000 in donations for this school year! Remember, 100% of your donation will be used to enhance the educational experience of EVERY student and faculty member at Vanderlyn Elementary. All donations, large and small, DO make a difference.
Check with your employer to see if they have a matching gift program! Some companies will double or even triple the portion of a donation that is tax-deductible.
Help us reach our goal of 100% family participation. Be a Viking Champion and DONATE today!
To our families that have already showed their support, magnets have finally arrived! You should have received your magnet from your homeroom teacher. If you did not receive yours, please contact vanderylnannualfund@gmail.com
You can stay connected to our PTO by visiting our website, vanderlypto.org, follow us on Facebook or Instagram, and subscribing to Viking Views and the School Calendar. Log into your MTK account, click on My Account, Calendar/Newsletter Subscriptions.
THANK YOU for your donations and support and GO VIKINGS!
